The young soprano Petra Froese studied singing in her hometown of Prague. Since 2000 she has appeared as soloist in the Czech Republic and internationally.

In Prague she sang the solo part in Schuberts G-Flat-Messe with the Czech Chamber Orchestra and sang the A-Dur-Messe with the Prague Symphony Orchestra under the musical direction of Gerd Albrecht.

In 2007 she performed Mendelssohns "Midsummer Night´s Dream" as a soloist with the Sinfonieorchester des Bayrischen Rundfunks. In December 2008 she performed with the same orchestra Griegs Songs from Peer Gynt. These will be featured later on CDs from Orfeo. These songs were also performed in 2009 in Sao Paolo, Belo Horizonte and Victoria in Brazil and in Santiago de Chile.

The Swiss public in Basel was first introduced to her in 2008, when she sang the solo part in Martinus "Blumenstrauss". One of Petra Froeses most unforgettable concert performances was her performance of Vaughan Williams Symphony Nr. 7 "Antarctic".

In October 2009 sang the artist in Beethovens "Choirfantasy" in Stuttgart and in the same year in November she sang Brahms "Ein Deutsches Requiem" in Warsaw. In December 2009 she performed Beethovens "Egmont" in Doha (Qatar) and appeared again in the programm in Weimar in March 2011. In May 2010 she opened "The International Music Festival of Strassbourg" as a soloist in Mozarts "Requiem" and the "Krönungsmesse".

In June 2011 she sang the role of Elsa in Wagners "Lohengrin" at the Smetana Festival in Litomysl. In November, she was invited to Doha again to sing in Beethovens "Ah Perfido" and Mendelssohns "Infelice". In Frankfurt am Main, she sang the solo part in Dvoraks "Stabat Mater" in a guest appearance in March 2012, and in the same year she performed with the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra (MDR Sinfonieorchester) with Martinus "Magic Nights" in Leipzig. In addition to this, she can be heard performing in the Euskadi Orchestra recording of the "Cymbeline Suite" by Zeminsky. Also that year, she took on a tour through Spain in company with "Cappella Istropolitana from Bratislava" that saw her on stage in Valencia, Castellon, and Burgos. In 2013, the Saarbrücker Zeitung called her brilliant when she featured as the opening act of Beethovens Egmont Overture at the Music Festival in Saarbrücken. In June 2013, she performed together with the Triox Syrinx Prague Ensemble the lieder by Pauline Viardot, Clara Schumannm and Alma Mahler at the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg. Later that year in November, she was back in Doha where she sang Dvoraks aries. In July 2014, she performed lieder of Schönberg, Wolf, and Strauss at the international Mahler Jihival Festival (Czech Republic). Petra Froeses future performances include the main female role in Dvoraks Alfred opera this coming autumn with a CD recording of the concert performance.

Since 2008 Petra Froese works with the reknown singing teacher Irmgard Boas.
